Agnesian HealthCare and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA are partnering with Walk With a Doc to create a safe, walkable community.

The collaborative mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.

Join providers on Monday through Friday between 8 and 9:30 a.m.; the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month between 5 and 6 p.m.; and Wednesdays between 4 to 5 p.m. to begin your commitment of improved health and well-being.

In addition, Ripon Medical Center providers will be walking at Ripon High School, 850 Tiger Drive, Ripon, the first and third Wednesdays of the month between 6 to 7 p.m.

Step it Up! The Surgeon General of the United States recommends 150 minutes of weekly exercise to:

  • Lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and depression
  • Maintain or lose weight
  • Boost your energy
  • Improve your sleep
  • Reduce stress
  • Redue your risk of falls
  • Delay the onset of cognitive decline and dementia
  • Increase sense of well-being and more!

Open House: Gentle Stretch & Balance at Twisted Warrior

In partnership with Agnesian HealthCare, The Twisted Warrior is hosting an open house to feature Gentle Stretch & Balance classes.

Facilitated by Mary Rosenbaum, RYT 200 yoga instructor, Gentle Stretch and Balance focuses on seated and standing poses designed to:

 

  • Improve range of motion
  • Lengthen and strengthen muscles
  • Enhance balance
  • Reduce stress
  • Improve mental well-being

 

Yoga props are used to enhance and aid in finding comfort in the poses. For all age levels and abilities.

 

Participate in gentle stretch and balance demos and enjoy refreshments.

Preregistration is recommended.

Invest in your well-being! Join Agnesian HealthCare registered art therapists to engage in art making for resiliency practice. Individuals will be guided through art making processes that offer self-reflection, relaxation practices and supportive conversation.

  • Essential oils may be used.
  • Wear art appropriate clothing.
  • All supplies are provided and no art experience needed.

This two-week series will include a variety of 2D techniques along with journaling prompts to begin the new year inspired and empowering your wellness.

This one-evening class is for expectant parents in their late second or mid to late third trimesters of pregnancy. Expectant parents will learn about third trimester changes in mom and baby's body; changes in mom and baby's body during labor; process of labor and fetal monitoring; signs and symptoms of labor, when to go to the hospital; stages of labor; pain control options; relaxation; comfort and distraction techniques; pushing positions; high-risk situations; and what happens after delivery. This program also includes a tour of the Women & Infants Unit birthing rooms.

Join a certified yoga instructor with Twisted Warrior in Fond du Lac, for an advanced yoga practice that will guide and support you on your yoga journey. Power yoga will keep you moving, breathing, and finding balance and stillness. Additional power moves will increase strength and endurance. Class ends with a long Savasana - the most important part of your yoga practice.

RMC Wellness Center members attend at no cost, and should register with an RMC Wellness Center associate by calling (920) 745-3620.

LGBTQ Adult is a free, confidential support group for adults 18 and older who identify with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) community, and/or seeking support surrounding their sexual orientation.

Facilitated by Leann Vice-Reshel, MA, LPC, and Paul Clark, MSE, LPC, Agnesian Health Care Behavioral Health Services, this professional and peer-led group offers support to individuals anywhere in their coming out process, and includes professional education on the following:

  • Coming out
  • Sexual Orientation
  • Gender identity
  • Communication with family and friends
  • Mindfulness
  • Emotion regulation

This group meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

RMC Triathlon

This Ripon Medical Center event combines the rich history of the Green Lake Conference Center, its beautiful grounds and the deepest inland lake in Wisconsin to attract racers from all over the Midwest. The course includes an amazing lake swim, rolling hills on the bike and secluded run course making this triathlon perfect for beginners to veterans.
