Fruit and veggies can protect us from a range of illnesses, from cancer to heart disease. For this to work, however, we need at least five portions a day. Join Mike Wetzel, sous-chef, and Jennifer Clausen, clinical dietitian, for tips on how to integrate fruit and vegetables into your diet while keeping your meals full of flavor!

With warmer temperatures on the horizon and being in the outdoors more desired, Agnesian HealthCare will be shifting its Walk with a Doc program to the wellness walkway at Ripon Medical Center. This location change is now underway, and will move back to Ripon High School in the fall.

Interested walkers can meet outside the RMC Wellness Center entrance, and will walk on the walking path weather permitting. 

Walk with a Doc sessions are scheduled the first, second and third Wednesday of the month from 6 to 7 p.m.

The collaborative mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.

Join a provider on the first, second and third Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. to begin your commitment of improved health and well-being.

Step it Up! The Surgeon General of the United States recommends 150 minutes of weekly exercise to:

  • Lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and depression
  • Maintain or lose weight
  • Boost your energy
  • Improve your sleep
  • Reduce stress
  • Redue your risk of falls
  • Delay the onset of cognitive decline and dementia
  • Increase sense of well-being and more!

The Nutman Company features 150 fine quality nuts, chocolates, snack mixes and candies.

Proceeds benefit Ripon Medical Center scholarships, as well as healthy and wellness programs and services. Visa and MasterCard are welcome, as well as cash and checks. Quickcharge is available for employees.

In addition, Ripon Medical Center providers will be walking at Ripon High School, 850 Tiger Drive, Ripon, the first and third Wednesdays of the month between 6 to 7 p.m.

The public is invited to a jewelry sale by PTK Sales from Tuesday, June 25 to Thursday, June 27 in Agnesian HealthCare’s lobby concourse, 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac.

The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on June 25 and 26, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 27.

Sponsored by the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers, proceeds will benefit patient programs and services at St. Agnes Hospital.

Shoppers will have the opportunity to choose from a huge selection of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pins, watches, hosiery, tights, apparel, special gift items and more! Almost everything is $6.

Parenting Children with ADHD

Parents are invited to join other parents for encouragement and support while learning and implementing positive parenting skills for children with ADHD.

This eight-week program will:

  • Help parents understand the impact of ADHD on a child's behavior
  • Offer advice, strategies and tools to allow parents to set their children up for success

Class is for parents with children ages four to 18. 

Preregistration is required. Class dates include Tuesdays, June 25 to August 13.
