Shine is a support group for women who have been abused physically, sexually, verbally and emotionally, or who are currently involved in a domestic violence relationship.

Shine is an open support group and meets Thursday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m. at Domestic Violence Services, 21 S. Marr Street, Fond du Lac.

This one-evening class is for expectant parents in their late second or mid to late third trimesters of pregnancy. Expectant parents will learn about third trimester changes in mom and baby's body; changes in mom and baby's body during labor; process of labor and fetal monitoring; signs and symptoms of labor, when to go to the hospital; stages of labor; pain control options; relaxation; comfort and distraction techniques; pushing positions; high-risk situations; and what happens after delivery. This program also includes a tour of the Women & Infants Unit birthing rooms.

A fast moving yoga class led by Lauren Villegas, certified yoga instructor, Vinyasa Flow Yoga is designed to coordinate movement with the breath and flow from one pose to the next. Variations and modifications will be offered to accommodate beginners and intermediate students. Class includes 45 minutes of building heat and strengthening the body, and 15 minutes cooling down. Students will leaving feeling energized and relaxed.

Class dates include June 8 to 29.

Preregistration is required.

Grief Matters - Educational Support Group 

 This group is intended for individuals who are grieving the death of someone closes to them. Learn about a variety of grief topics and with opportunities to share you experience with others who understand. This group provides a safe environment to share feelings such as guilt, anger, fear, or loneliness.

 

Please join us at the Bereavement Center behind Twohig Flooring America, near the Kwik Trip on the west side of Fond du Lac.

The Alzheimer's support group is an open gathering of people with common needs and interests who come together to share their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared challenges of dementia in a safe environment. HEARTSAVER AED teaches lay rescuers CPR and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for adult and child cardiac arrest victims. Students also learn relief of choking in adults and children, infant CPR and relief of choking and child and infant safety. A course completion card is given upon successful completion of a practical and written exam.

Agnesian HealthCare's Breastfeeding Support Group is a free community service facilitated by Jodi DeMaa, RN-C, IBCLC, and Rita Parker, RN, IBCLC, St. Agnes Hospital Women & Infants Unit lactation consultants.

Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Registration is not required. 

RMC Triathlon

This Ripon Medical Center event combines the rich history of the Green Lake Conference Center, its beautiful grounds and the deepest inland lake in Wisconsin to attract racers from all over the Midwest. The course includes an amazing lake swim, rolling hills on the bike and secluded run course making this triathlon perfect for beginners to veterans.
