Agnesian HealthCare and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA are partnering with Walk With a Doc to create a safe, walkable community.

The collaborative mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.

Join providers on Monday through Friday between 8 and 9:30 a.m.; the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month between 5 and 6 p.m.; and Wednesdays between 4 to 5 p.m. to begin your commitment of improved health and well-being.

In addition, Ripon Medical Center providers will be walking at Ripon High School, 850 Tiger Drive, Ripon, the first and third Wednesdays of the month between 6 to 7 p.m.

Step it Up! The Surgeon General of the United States recommends 150 minutes of weekly exercise to:

  • Lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and depression
  • Maintain or lose weight
  • Boost your energy
  • Improve your sleep
  • Reduce stress
  • Redue your risk of falls
  • Delay the onset of cognitive decline and dementia
  • Increase sense of well-being and more!

This Agnesian HealthCare class is for newborns that are not yet crawling. Participants should bring a soft blanket to the class.

The Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers are hosting a fair trade sale by the Just Fare Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28 in the Agnesian HealthCare lobby concourse, 430 E. Division Street. The public is welcome to attend.

Just Fare will feature fair trade items, such as coffee, baskets, aprons, handcrafted kitchen and tableware, children’s clothing and gifts, Boozik amplifiers, musical instruments and much more. Stop by and see the beautiful handiwork!

Just Fare is a faith-based, nonprofit organization improving lives through global partnerships and fair trade.

Proceeds benefit Agnesian HealthCare programs and services. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR teaches healthcare providers the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction in responsive and non-responsive victims. A course completion card is given upon successful completion of a practical and written exam.
