FAMILY AND FRIENDS CPR teaches lay rescuers skills in adult, child and infant CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in the responsive victim. The course presents information about the American Heart Association (AHA) adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. A course “participation card” is given to each participant.

Resolve through Sharing®- Educational Support Group 

This group is intended for individuals who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, or death of a child less than 1-year-old. Talking about a death can be difficult and the Resolve through Sharing® Grief Support Group gives you an opportunity to share your experience with others who understand. This group provides a safe environment to share feelings such as guilt, anger, fear, or loneliness.

Please join us at the Bereavement Center behind Twohig Flooring America, near the Kwik Trip on the west side of Fond du Lac.

 

Registration is not required for open groups.

Agnesian HealthCare and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA are partnering with Walk With a Doc to create a safe, walkable community.

The collaborative mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.

Join providers on Monday through Friday between 8 and 9:30 a.m.; the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month between 5 and 6 p.m.; and Wednesdays between 4 to 5 p.m. to begin your commitment of improved health and well-being.

In addition, Ripon Medical Center providers will be walking at Ripon High School, 850 Tiger Drive, Ripon, the first and third Wednesdays of the month between 6 to 7 p.m.

Step it Up! The Surgeon General of the United States recommends 150 minutes of weekly exercise to:

  • Lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and depression
  • Maintain or lose weight
  • Boost your energy
  • Improve your sleep
  • Reduce stress
  • Redue your risk of falls
  • Delay the onset of cognitive decline and dementia
  • Increase sense of well-being and more!

This Agnesian HealthCare class is for newborns that are not yet crawling. Participants should bring a soft blanket to the class.

There is power in knowing your health numbers: blood pressure, BMI, glucose and lipids. These numbers are important indicators of your health, and when they are out of the normal range, it's a signal that you could have a higher risk of developing certain diseases and conditions.

Join Anna Hang, PA-C, Fond du Lac Regional Clinic West, to learn simple steps you can take to minimize the risk of developing chronic diseases.

5:30 to 6 p.m. - Registration, and BMI & blood pressure screenings

6 p.m. - Presentation

Complete the 12-hour fasting blood draw on or before Friday, January 18. Blood draw order form will be provided upon registration and payment.

Agnesian HealthCare's Breastfeeding Support Group is a free community service facilitated by Jodi DeMaa, RN-C, IBCLC, and Rita Parker, RN, IBCLC, St. Agnes Hospital Women & Infants Unit lactation consultants.

Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Preregistration is not required. 

RMC Triathlon

This Ripon Medical Center event combines the rich history of the Green Lake Conference Center, its beautiful grounds and the deepest inland lake in Wisconsin to attract racers from all over the Midwest. The course includes an amazing lake swim, rolling hills on the bike and secluded run course making this triathlon perfect for beginners to veterans.
