Never before has Integrative Health services been more necessary to guide patients toward improved immune function, improved bodily function and increased ability to adapt to the tremendous stress of everyday living.
In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Integrative Health team has developed several additional safety measures to protect its patients. We have increased time slots between each patient to allow for thorough sanitation. Surfaces are wiped down and linens are changed. Our providers will wear a face mask or shield and be gloved during treatments. Our community acupuncture space has been altered to include six feet between each patient while also utilizing curtains as an additional barrier. Patients are masked unless in the prone position on the treatment table.
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of skin, muscles and underlying soft tissue to reduce muscle tension and loosen sore joints. Massage therapy can treat chronic pain, depression, high blood pressure, headaches, stress and anxiety, and more. Our massage therapist also offers prenatal massage, lymphatic drainage, cupping and trigger point therapy.
Acupuncture promotes the inherent self-healing process of the body through the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin. Traditional Chinese Medical evaluation includes taking a detailed history, which helps to create a plan to address underlying disharmonies while alleviating current symptoms. Herbal recommendations are made where appropriate. Acupuncture is beneficial for chronic pain, digestive disorders, sinusitis, neuropathy, migraines, anxiety and depression, and more.
Both massage therapy and acupuncture are indicated as regular maintenance treatments to enhance overall health, prevent disease and reduce stress.
