Agnesian HealthCare is donating 288 turkeys to benefit families in Fond du Lac and surrounding communities during the Thanksgiving holiday.

For the past four years, Agnesian HealthCare provides a free turkey to all of its employees to enjoy at Thanksgiving or other time. Employees have the option to donate their turkey for distribution to area food pantries.

On November 15, turkeys were given to eight food pantries in Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Ripon and Waupun, in addition to interested clients at Adult Day Services.

“Each year, we enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to share this special gift with our employees to show how much we value their dedication and commitment to serving our patients, residents and their families,” Dawn Vandenberg, regional director for Mission Integration. “We also know that there are many individuals and families that are struggling to make ends meet, and if these turkey donations can help in some way, we continue to fulfill our mission of meeting the needs of the poor and vulnerable.”
