National Cancer Survivors Day takes place annually on the first Sunday in June to celebrate survivors and raise awareness of the challenges cancer survivors face.
“Come see how life after cancer is more than just surviving,” says Bill Daly, director of Agnesian HealthCare Oncology Services. “It can be beautiful, abundant and fulfilling. And that’s something to celebrate. You will find our National Cancer Survivors Day celebration filled with joy, hope, camaraderie and compassion as we acknowledge our community’s cancer survivors. We will also recognize the contributions of their families, friends and health care providers and raise awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by cancer survivors today.”
The Agnesian Cancer Center, located at 480 E. Division Street in Fond du Lac, was named among the top 15 percent of CoC accredited cancer programs in the country, earning the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. The rating was given after a rigorous evaluation process and on-site review by the Commission on Cancer.
