Summer is fast approaching, and Agnesian HealthCare’s Volunteer Services will have many opportunities for students that will be age 15 or older by June 1, 2020.

Agnesian HealthCare offers a dedicated summer program for teens to volunteer during the non-school months. Volunteering is a great way to experience giving of one’s time, gifts and talents, the true gift of helping others. Other great benefits of volunteering are developing skills and gaining experience for future job opportunities, building community awareness and meeting new people to open yourself to giving back to your local community. Many colleges look for community involvement on their applications today. It is also a great feeling knowing you made a difference in someone’s day!

The summer student volunteer program begins June 8 and ends the last week of August. Students are asked to commit to four hours per week with a minimum of 35 hours for the summer.

Students interested in participating in Summer Student Volunteer Program must apply online by March 30. All first-time student applicants must schedule an interview session. Returning student applicants, with participation last summer, do not need to interview. Once an application is received online, the student will receive an e-mail message with the following dates for interviews and the phone number to call and set up their interview.

The interview dates are the week of April 6 to 10 and April 13 to 17 and will be setup at the location where students will be interested in volunteering. This will make it very convenient for the student to attend an interview around their schedule.
