Agnesian HealthCare’s Bereavement Services will be hosting its 19th annual “Kids Kamp - Growing Through Grief” on June 18 and 19 at the Cedar Valley Campus in West Bend.
Sponsored by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, Kids Kamp is a free, two-day camp for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. It is a camp where children, who are entering kindergarten through seventh grade, can work through the grieving process after a loved one has died.
Bereavement Services staff, along with trained volunteers, gently provide activities and fun in an atmosphere where children can share their emotions and concerns with peers.
Kids Kamp activities include a bonfire, paddleboats, fishing, swimming, hiking (Cedar Valley Campus has 100 acres with trails), arts and crafts, and much more! Since it is an overnight camp, children will need to bring a sleeping bag, change of clothing, something to sleep in and sweats or sweaters for evening outside activities.
A bus will pick-up and drop-off children at the Agnesian HealthCare Bereavement Center at 1161 W. Johnson Street, Fond du Lac, on June 18 at 8:30 a.m. with drop-off at 3 p.m. on June 19.
There is no charge to attend the Kids Kamp. Preregistration is required by Friday, June 14. To register for the Kids Kamp, call Agnesian HealthCare’s Bereavement Center at (920) 907-3940 or visit agnesian.com/bereavement.
