Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of who Agnesian HealthCare is and what we do. Volunteers add a special touch to the work they do each and every day with our patients, visitors and staff through their donation of time, talent and knowledge.

Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers
At St. Agnes Hospital and the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, men, women, college students, retirees and teenagers (minimum age of 14 years) from all walks of life give approximately three to four hours a week in volunteer service. Currently, there are more than 575 active adult volunteers and 70 teen summer volunteers who work in many different areas.

As a volunteer you will have the chance to choose from a variety of positions through the Volunteer Services Department. The tasks vary depending on the area you work in. Some current opportunities include:

  • Patient Transport
  • Clerical Positions
  • Retail/Sales (Gift Shop, Café Coffee)

Most volunteers donate their time because they want to help others and they enjoy the work. But a variety of other experiences await you:

  • New friendships
  • Active retirement years
  • New skills
  • Make a meaningful contribution to your community
  • Achieve a sense of accomplishment and the will to help

For more information on volunteering at St. Agnes Hospital or the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, call Volunteer Services at (920) 926-4966. We will send you an application and arrange for a personal interview with a member of the Volunteer Services staff.

Hospice Hope Volunteers
Agnesian HealthCare's Hospice Hope relies on volunteers of all ages to help provide comfort to patients in its traditional in-home hospice program, both in the Fond du Lac and Green Lake areas, as well as its new Hospice Home of Hope. The Hospice Home of Hope is a 12-bed residential facility, located on County Road K, that provides comfort care to individuals with a life expectancy of less than six months.

Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting patients and families by offering assistance with personal cares, respite care, running errands, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and emotional support. They also provide clerical assistance in the hospice office. Giving just a few hours a week can make a difference to patients and families who are dealing with a life-threatening illness.

For more information about becoming a hospice volunteer, call (920) 924-4662.

St. Francis Home Volunteers
More than 100 adult and youth volunteers donate more than 700 hours every month at St. Francis Home. Some volunteers provide companionship and a friendly smile as "Friendly Visitors." Many deliver mail, pass trays at meals or assist residents with daily activities.

Join our family of volunteers in our commitment to meet the changing needs of older adults. Become a St. Francis Home volunteer today and show your caring and compassion for others.

For more information on volunteering at St. Francis Home, call the volunteer coordinator at (920) 923-7980.

Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers
Waupun Memorial Hospital offers many exciting opportunities to serve hospital patients and visitors by becoming an Information Desk volunteer. Volunteers can greet people as they enter the hospital, provide directions or escort them to their destination. They also assist in other areas to help ensure the flow of services benefiting our patients. To learn more, call Administration at (920) 324-6512.

Waupun Memorial Hospital's Auxiliary is an integral part of the organization. Each year the auxilians plan and implement community and fund-raising events, such as the Book and Bake Sale, Tour of Homes, Style Show and Card Party, and the annual Love Lights Ceremony.

Proceeds raised at these events are used to enhance hospital services, assist the Waupun Memorial Hospital Free Clinic and provide scholarships to medical students.

The Waupun Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is always looking for new members. For more information or to become an auxiliary, call Waupun Memorial Hospital at (920)324-5581.
