A graduate of the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Tabriz, Iran, Dr. Alizadegan completed a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois and Iran University of Medical Sciences, as well as his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Alizadegan provides endovascular and surgical treatment for carotid stenosis (stents and endarterectomy), peripheral vascular disease, peripheral artery disease with angioplasty, stenting, femoral endarterectomy, peripheral bypass, chronic venous insufficiency treatment with varicose vein ablation and removal, complex wound care, temporary and permanent vascular access, treatments of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) - both endovascular and surgical approach, aortic iliac occlusive disease - both endovascular and surgical approach, and AV fistulas.
"As a vascular surgeon, I take a holistic approach in treating my patients due to the complexity and nature of vascular disease. I personally focus on educating my patients so they have a thorough understanding of their medical condition and the treatment options available. I want my patient’s to feel comfortable and be active participants in their plan of care."
In his free time, Dr. Alizadegan enjoys spending time with family, hiking, running and swimming.
