About the program

The program provides 24-hour crisis assistance; 1:1 counseling/psychotherapy; support groups; referrals to community resources; prevention education within the school system, hospital, and community agencies; and case management including legal and medical advocacy. All of these services offered to victims of abuse and their families are free of charge and confidential. Domestic Violence Program Counselors and trained Volunteers make the hospital a safe place to disclose abuse and neglect.

If you have trouble with anger issues or have been abusive to someone you love or care about, the Domestic Violence Program also has services for you.  The program offers individual and group-based psycho-educational sessions to help those who are in need of improving violent behavior against their loved ones. To find out more about these services, please call the main number (920) 926-4207.

Light Up the Night 2014

Light Up the Night is an event held each year to raise awareness of domestic violence.  The Light Up the Night committee is comprised of several community agencies and professionals who unite together to raise awareness of domestic violence in Fond du Lac County. This year’s event focuses on empowerment of all and uniting our community in the fight against domestic violence.  At our event this year we will be dancing to raise awareness!  The song “Firework” by Katy Perry was chosen by our committee because we feel the song accurately depicts how victims of domestic violence may feel and empowers them to break free from the abuse.   Remember this dance is all about empowerment and having fun!  Can’t wait to see you all in your dancing shoes at the event!

Details of Event:

Our event will be held on Wednesday October 8th, 2014 at 6:30pm beginning at Goodrich Little Theatre, located on 72 W. Ninth ST. Fond du Lac, WI 54935, with a short program.  From Goodrich Little Theatre, attendees will march down to Veterans Park located on 190 S. Main St. where we will participate in a group dance (“flash-mob”style).
