St. Agnes Hospital

The comfortable birthing rooms of St. Agnes Hospital are decorated and furnished to make you feel right at home, with rocking chair, recliner, table and chairs, TV, stereo and subdued lighting. A special birthing bed lets you try a variety of different positions during delivery. And you will love the full bath with whirlpool. There is plenty of room for your family, and for the hospital staff to bring in everything needed for delivery. The nursery is located right next to the nurses' station, keeping babies close to both moms and the staff. And to help you prepare for your baby's arrival, Agnesian HealthCare's Journeys: a health resource center offers a comprehensive Prepared Childbirth Program. Waupun Memorial Hospital

As a member of Agnesian HealthCare, Waupun Memorial Hospital prides itself on the care that new mothers receive when admitted for labor and delivery. Its Obstetrics unit offers rooms that are equipped with private whirlpool tubs and are designated labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites, allowing new moms to remain in one room to enjoy the entire birth experience. Each new arrival in Waupun is treated with the utmost care in a comfortable, warm atmosphere.

Programs Serving Women in Mid-Life: The natural aging process brings with it new health concerns as women seek to maintain a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle. Agnesian HealthCare's Women's Health Services offers the resources to make the most during this time of transition:
  • Bone Densitometry: A simple, non-intrusive bone density test is the best way to accurately measure the density of your bones. Left unchecked, brittle bones caused by osteoporosis can lead to stooped posture, chronic pain, and restricted mobility. A bone density test can help your physician diagnose the disease, especially early-on, before prescribing a course of treatment.

  • Incontinence Services: Although sometimes embarrassing, urinary incontinence can often be successfully treated and reversed. Our incontinence specialists will help you work toward more normal bladder control and improved urinary health.
  • Free Women's Health Checkups: In cooperation with the Wisconsin Women's Cancer Control Program, Agnesian HealthCare offers free checkups, including a Pap smear and pelvic exam, clinical breast exam and a mammogram, for women age 50 and older with low incomes, no insurance or not enough insurance.
  • Women's Imaging: Regularly scheduled mammograms are one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Our radiographers produce clear images of the breast that can reveal small tumors up to two years before they can be felt by physical examination. That is important, because when you find a breast tumor in its earliest stages, you have a better than 90 percent chance of long-term survival.
