Agnesian HealthCare to host pig roast as part of Ripon Relay for Life
Agnesian HealthCare is showing its support of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Ripon scheduled for Saturday, June 8 at Barlow Park.
Ripon Medical Center, as a member of Agnesian HealthCare, is serving as a main event sponsor. In addition, representatives from Agnesian Cancer Care services will be on hand to offer a pig roast for only $4 a person. All donated money will go to the American Cancer Society.
“Agnesian HealthCare is proud to support the American Cancer Society as we share a common mission,” says Bill Daly, director of Agnesian HealthCare Oncology Services. “We are grateful to provide vital cancer care services at Ripon Medical Center through Dr. Michael Jones and his caring team. We know that it is important that as many healthcare services be available close to home.”
The Relay for Life in Ripon on June 8 runs from noon to midnight at Barlow Park, with the pig roast available at 12:30 p.m. as supplies last.
This year’s Relay for Life theme is “More Birthdays.” For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been working to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. It believes every birthday celebrated is a victory. Another year that cancer has not prevailed.
The American Cancer Society is fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. This year, nearly 14 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday, thanks in part to the progress already made. But efforts cannot stop there. With generous donations, the American Cancer Society can help create a world with even more celebrations, more laughter and more birthdays for all.
