Alyssa Buuck, LAT, a certified athletic trainer with Ripon Medical Center’s Sports, Spine & Work Center, is now serving as assistant athletic trainer at Ripon College. She joins Brian Azinger, MA, LAT, who also provides services for intercollegiate athletes at Ripon College.
As a certified athletic trainer, Buuck focuses on injury prevention and recovery. When athletes are injured, an athletic trainer helps carry out plans and methods for healing the injury with the goals of helping athletes to continue competing or to resume competing as soon as possible.
In her role at Ripon College, Buuck will work primarily with the men’s and women’s soccer and baseball teams.
Buuck has been a certified athletic trainer since 2011. Before coming to Ripon College, she worked as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Training Education Program at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Buuck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Concordia University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
