Agnesian Work & Wellness, Waupun School District collaborate on sports physicals
Students at the Waupun Area Junior/Senior High School are benefitting from a collaborative effort between Agnesian Work & Wellness at Waupun Memorial Hospital and the Waupun School District.
Sports physicals will be offered to interested students from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., June to September. Appointments are available by calling (920) 324-6816.
The sports physicals will cost $35, with $25 of each sports physical being donated to the Waupun Athletic Fund. Cash or checks written to Waupun Memorial Hospital will be accepted. A WIAA physical form and card will need to be completed and signed by parents.
Nurse Practitioners Jessica Yogerst Sullivan, APNP, and Rebecca Lentscher, APNP, with Agnesian Work & Wellness, will be offering the physicals. Sports physicals include height, weight, blood pressure screening, musculoskeletal screening and completion of required forms. No lab work is necessary.
“We offer these sports physicals to help area athletes meet necessary requirements to play school sports, but also give them an opportunity to talk about any questions they have, as well as their athletic goals,” according to Sullivan. “The sports physicals are a good time to let them know how to listen to their bodies, train effectively and refuel to reach their full potential.”
In addition, Agnesian HealthCare primary care providers in Waupun and surrounding communities are available to assist with sports physicals and other healthcare needs. Call these clinics for appointment availability and associated costs.
