The Waupun Memorial Hospital (WMH) Medical Staff is donating $25,000 to support local projects that benefit the community.
The donation was made possible thanks to contributions from more than 100 WMH Medical Staff physicians.
“We deeply appreciate the trust and dedication individuals and families have in the services that we offer,” says Scott Hansfield, MD, WMH Medical Staff president. “In turn, we are equally committed to serve Waupun and surrounding communities through our services, as well as promoting a healthy community.”
Among those organizations receiving donations are: Y5210 healthy eating program for elementary students (Waupun public schools, Central Wisconsin Christian school - CWC; SAGES and St. John’s Lutheran School in Fox Lake); YScreen (previously TeenScreen) testing for freshmen (Waupun public schools and CWC); The Union Youth Center; Waupun Area Recreation Project (WARP) for new bike trail and aquatic center; and Waupun Fine Arts.
In addition, the following individual youth sports programs will benefit: Waupun Hockey Association, Waupun Hoopsters, Waupun Little League, Waupun Softball Association, Waupun Youth Soccer Association and Waupun Youth Wrestling.
