Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, women’s health benefits from hockey tournament
November 20, 2013

Representatives from the Fond du Lac Lady Lightning and Fond du Lac Bolt women’s hockey teams recently presented a donation to the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation to help fund mammograms at Agnesian HealthCare for women in financial need.

Each fall, the group conducts a women’s hockey tournament and gives proceeds to several charitable organizations in the Fond du Lac area. A total of 10 teams participated in the 2013 tournament, conducted October 19 and 20, at the Fond du Lac Blue Line Hockey Rink. Money was raised through entrance fees from teams, as well as raffle prizes. The tournament just completed its 13th consecutive year.

Michelle Ries (second from left), Agnesian HealthCare Foundation events coordinator, is shown accepting the donation along with (left to right) Lisa Michels, APNP, Agnesian HealthCare women’s health nurse practitioner, and Dawn Lakin and Kathy Cook, Fond du Lac Lady Lightning.
