Quilt donation enhances WMH ‘An Evening of Chocolate & Wine’ fund-raiser
Waupun area businesses and individuals are stepping forward in their support of the upcoming “An Evening of Chocolate & Wine,” a fund-raising event sponsored by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation and Waupun Memorial Hospital (WMH) Special Events Committee.
The event, scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 23 at the Waupun City Hall, is featuring a silent auction thanks to the generosity of area supporters. Tickets are $40 per person.
The most recent donation features a handmade quilt from the John C. Burke Correctional Center.
Sgt. Patricia Johns, of the John C. Burke Correctional Center, says the quilt is representative of ongoing generosity of women who enjoy sewing projects that benefit the community at large.
The February 23 event will feature chocolates from Guth’s End of the Trail Candy Shoppe and various hand-selected wines from around the world. There will also be numerous specialty beers, local cheeses and a bountiful hors d'oeuvre buffet for sampling.
The evening will feature harpist, Deborah Guy, raffles and a silent auction.
Proceeds will benefit WMH women’s health and breast care services. Dress is business casual.
