The Ripon Medical Center (RMC) Auxiliary is looking for new members to help as they support the availability of local healthcare through Ripon Medical Center.
RMC Auxiliary members play an integral role in the overall success of Ripon Medical Center. They help to sponsor fund-raising events that benefit patient programs, as well as scholarships to area students pursuing a career in healthcare. They are also members of Partners of the WHA (Wisconsin Hospital Association), and support advocacy efforts to communicate specific needs of patients and families with legislators.
Staying educate on current health topics is also important for Auxiliary members. Four luncheons during the year feature guest speakers on a variety of topics. Most recently, the RMC Auxiliary welcomed Ginny Nyhuis, Fond du Lac County Area Alzheimer’s Association community outreach coordinator, provided an overview on Alzheimer’s disease and resources available to individuals and families.
The new RMC Auxiliary luncheon is scheduled for Monday, September 16 at Ripon Medical Center with Pamela Werth, a chaplain with Agnesian HealthCare’s Spiritual Care Services, as guest speaker. She will share information on healthcare and hospital ministry and its role in patient care.
Join RMC Auxiliary members as they host an upcoming brat fry on Friday, July 26 at Ripon’s Pick ‘n Save.
“We encourage anyone that’s interested in the Ripon Medical Center Auxiliary to stop in and talk with our members regarding the Auxiliary and our work,” says Jackie Halverson, RMC Auxiliary president. “We are proud of the new hospital being built in Ripon and our contribution to its success.”
