Our lives can take unexpected twists and turns, whether facing an illness, death, divorce, injury or other traumatic event. Often these experiences catch us by surprise and can dramatically change our lives.
Agnesian HealthCare’s Journeys: a health resource center is offering a six-week “Healing Through Art” program, which will show participants how they can use art as part of their overall healing process. Through art, individuals can reconnect to their sense of life’s meaning. Expressing emotions through art can be a transformative and therapeutic method for people to create their own healing.
Join Lynn Genz and Sarah Drake-Ricart, Agnesian HealthCare registered art therapists, as they share unique ways that art can create opportunities where healing takes place, and the process of mending can make us stronger.
“Healing Through Art” is scheduled for Mondays, September 8 to October 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Agnesian HealthCare Journeys: a health resource center, 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac.
Preregistration is required. For cost of class or for more information, call Journeys at (920) 926-4960 or visit us on-line at agnesian.com/communitycalendar and search for healing art.
