Agnesian HealthCare to host pig roast as part of Fond du Lac Relay for Life
Agnesian HealthCare is showing its support of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Fond du Lac scheduled for Friday, August 2 at the Fond du Lac High School.
Agnesian HealthCare is serving as a main event sponsor. In addition, representatives from Agnesian Cancer Care services will be on hand to offer a pig roast for only $4 a person. All donated money will go to the American Cancer Society.
The Relay for Life in Fond du Lac on August 2 starts at 3 p.m. with the pig roast available at 5 p.m. as supplies last. Opening ceremony starts at 6 p.m. where Michael Vander Kooy, MD, a board-certified radiation oncologist with the Agnesian Cancer Center, will speak.
“Agnesian HealthCare is proud to support the American Cancer Society as we share a common mission,” says Bill Daly, director of Agnesian HealthCare Oncology Services. “We are grateful to provide vital cancer care services to individuals in Fond du Lac and surrounding communities. We know that it is important that as many healthcare services be available close to home.”
This year’s Relay for Life theme is “More Birthdays.” For nearly 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been working to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. It believes every birthday celebrated is a victory. Another year that cancer has not prevailed.
The American Cancer Society is fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. This year, nearly 14 million cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday, thanks in part to the progress already made. But efforts cannot stop there. With generous donations, the American Cancer Society can help create a world with even more celebrations, more laughter and more birthdays for all.
