Registration is now open for the 2014 Ripon Medical Center (RMC) Triathlon, scheduled for Sunday, July 27 at the Green Lake Conference Center. Early bird pricing is available through February 28, 2014.
For the 16th year running, the RMC Triathlon is gearing up to bring athletes from all over the country to Green Lake County to swim, ride and run. The course includes an amazing lake swim, rolling hills on the bike and secluded run course – perfect for beginners to veterans.
Athletes will swim, bike and run one of two courses, long/Olympic or short/Sprint. People start training for the event even before the snow has melted, according to Chris Schattschneider, MS, LAT, PES, RMC Sports Medicine lead and triathlon race director.
“This is an event that people don’t like to miss,” he says. “The course is beautiful, and the volunteers are very friendly.”
In years past, the race has seen people come from as far away as France. This year, Schattschneider says he has racers from Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado and Florida.
Participants can still sign up the morning of the race for $80 ($70 through July 23). Individuals can also participate as teams with registration day of race at $135 ($130 through July 23). Other price points are available based on registration timing (see web site for all prices and deadlines).
RMC Triathlon participants will receive dri fit shirts in men’s and women’s sizes, as well as silicone swim caps.
