Agnesian HealthCare welcomes new autism experts
March 28, 2014

Agnesian HealthCare announced today that Beyond Boundaries of Autism (BBA), formerly a program of Goodwill NWC, is now part of its full continuum of Behavioral Health Services.

This new partnership creates Agnesian Beyond Boundaries of Autism (ABBA), which will provide services to help children and adults with autism maximize their independence and learn the skills to be successful in their homes, schools and communities. ABBA’s therapeutic approach is built on the foundation that every individual is unique and therefore presents a unique set of needs and circumstances.

ABBA professionals will operate collaboratively with Agnesian HealthCare’s Doll & Associates, 40 Camelot Drive in Fond du Lac. Agnesian HealthCare will employ current BBA therapy team staff to help families maintain existing relationships with care providers for a therapeutic transition.

As a result, Agnesian HealthCare welcomes ABBA administrative team members: Sara Kaiser, billing and contracting specialist, Lisa Hall, behavioral health support specialist; Vivian Hazell, lead therapist; Kimberly Nichols-Green and Bryan Mischler, senior autism therapists; six senior staff  therapists; and all line therapists currently working with the families that wish to continue with ABBA.

“Maintaining existing relationships with care providers is an important goal of the transition in order to be as supportive to the individuals and families we serve,” according to Matt Doll, PhD, a psychologist with Agnesian HealthCare’s Doll & Associates.

Jim Mugan, senior vice president of Clinical Services with Agnesian HealthCare, says the new partnership is a positive step for families facing autism. “Beyond Boundaries of Autism shares the same mission and philosophies as Agnesian HealthCare,” Mugan says. “We felt this would be an opportune time to consolidate services and maintain the high level of quality counseling which both agencies have provided while better utilizing resources.”

“This transition is a positive development for everyone involved,” Mugan adds. “Agnesian Beyond Boundaries of Autism will continue to receive the same quality care from the same providers, yet will have increased access to the broader scope of services available through Agnesian HealthCare’s Behavioral Health Services.”

Agnesian HealthCare has a highly-trained team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, family therapists, social workers, and certified alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA) counselors. These professionals work together to provide comprehensive quality service to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
