Family & Friends CPR

Time

Location

Agnesian HealthCare Journeys: a health resource center, 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS CPR teaches lay rescuers skills in adult, child and infant CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in the responsive victim. The course presents information about the American Heart Association (AHA) adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults. The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. A course “participation card” is given to each participant.

A Conversation With Dr. Treffert: Hyperlexia & Einstein Syndrome

Early reading and delayed speaking in children is often misdiagnosed as autism. Join Darold Treffert, MD, a world-renowned autism and savant syndrome expert, for a conversation that will sort out temporary "autistic-like" symptoms from "autism," and highlights the good outcomes in these exceptionally bright children. 


Preregistration is required. Engagement is limited to 20 people.

Walk With a Doc "After Hours" - Forest Mall

Agnesian HealthCare is partnering with Walk With a Doc to create a safe, walkable community. 


The collaborative mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages,      and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and   well-being of the country.


Join an Agnesian HealthCare provider on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. to begin your commitment of improved health and well-being.


Step it Up! The Surgeon General of the United States recommends 150 minutes of weekly exercise to:


Lower your risk of heart disease and stroke, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and depression



  • Maintain or lose weight

  • Boost your energy

  • Improve your sleep

  • Reduce stress

  • Redue your risk of falls

  • Delay the onset of cognitive decline and dementia

  • Increase sense of well-being and more!

Spouse/Partner Loss Support Group (Open)

Agnesian HealthCare Bereavement Center & Grief Relief, 1161 W. Johnson Street, Fond du Lac.

Open Bereavement Support Group: Anyone experiencing the loss of a spouse/partner may attend any of the meetings and different individuals may be there each time.


Please join us at our new location on the west end of Twohig Flooring America near the Kwik Trip on the west side of Fond du Lac.


Registration is not required for open groups.

Agnesian HealthCare's Breastfeeding Support Group is a free community service facilitated by Jodi DeMaa, RN-C, IBCLC, and Rita Parker, RN, IBCLC, St. Agnes Hospital Women & Infants Unit lactation consultants.


Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.


Registration is not required.
