Division Street, Fond du Lac Cost: $40 per student Agnesian HealthCare's Safe Sitter workshop is a nationally-recognized babysitting workshop that teaches adolescent babysitters how to handle crises and how to nurture and guide a young adult. Participants of this workshop emerge as more confident, responsible and compassionate teen and adults. Students will receive a manual and course completion card. This class is for children ages 11 to 14. All students should bring a beverage and snack/lunch or dinner. This is a two-day workshop. Register

Division Street, Fond du Lac Cost: $25 per person Heartsaver AED Renewal is for those who a current Heartsaver AED certification and need to renew their status. Lay rescuers will review CPR and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for adult and child cardiac arrest victims. Even though most cases could be prevented by limiting the skin’s exposure to ultraviolet rays, incidences are on the rise. The disease typically affects adults in their 40s, and is recently appearing more often in younger people. Join Burt Steffes, MD, a new Fond du Lac Regional Clinic dermatologist, to learn more about skin cancer and what you can do to prevent it. Division Street, Fond du Lac Cost: $20 per student Graduates of the Safe Sitter Basic Workshop are encouraged to take this non-credentialed course that will teach lay rescuers skills in child and infant CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in the responsive victim. The course also presents information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. Division Cost: $40 per person HEALTHCARE PROVIDER CPR teaches healthcare providers the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of an AED and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction in responsive and non-responsive victims. A course completion card is given upon successful completion of a practical and written exam. Afternoon Grief Support Group Time: Noon to 1:15 p.m. Cost: Free Community Service Sponsored by Agnesian HealthCare, this afternoon grief support program is designed to help participants cope with the death of a loved one in an informative and supportive group setting. In addition to a general overview of the grieving process, participants will also learn differences in grieving, how to manage their grief, past grief experiences and how to prepare for and face special days such as holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Other topics to be addressed include spirituality and grieving, how to help others cope with their loss, and the importance of closure – how to go on after saying “good-bye.”
This group meets the third Tuesday of every month.
