Disclosure Statements Limited English Proficiency Agnesian HealthCare will provide applicants who cannot speak, read, write or understand the English language at a level that permits them to interact effectively with an oral interpreter. This service will be provided free of charge. A family member may be used as an interpreter if requested by the applicant but it is recommended that a minor not be utilized as an interpreter.
It is the policy of Agnesian HealthCare to use the translation services of the Language Line as the first source of interpreter services. It is to be used on a regular basis when language barriers are apparent or present. The objective for the use of the Language Line is to break down the language barrier, in a professional manner, for non-English speaking applicants.
