Postpartum Depression Group

Agnesian HealthCare Journeys: a health resource center, 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac

Facilitated by Colleen Zietlow, LMFT, Agnesian HealthCare Behavioral Health Services Psychotherapist, Agnesian HealthCare's Postpartum Depression group offers education and support for women who are experiencing or are at risk for postpartum depression.This group is also open to women who are struggling emotionally after childbirth and need to connect with others.


Participants will learn about adjusting to their new role as a parent, bonding with their newborn, expectations vs. reality, boundaries, social support, adjusting to relationship changes, physical demands of the newborn, emotional effects of pregnancy, childbirth and the role of hormones. This group will also give mothers the opportunity to talk, listen and share their experiences with other women experiencing similar feelings.


Mothers are invited to bring their babies to group sessions.


This support group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1 to 2 p.m.

Positive Parenting Group

Facilitated by Sadie Bindl, MS, LPC-IT, St. Agnes Hospital Behavioral Health Services pre-doctoral intern, parents of toddlers and pre-schoolers are invited to learn how to best perform the difficult but incredibly rewarding job of parenting through a series of four sessions that will help parents discipline children and encourage them to feel positive about themselves andbecome the winners they were meant to be.


Week One - Structure and routine (consistency, family routine and house rules)


Week Two - Behavior management (positive reinforcement and time-outs)


Week Three - Bedtime


Week Four - Teaching emotional regulation


Preregistration is required. Must attend all four sessions scheduled for Wednesdays, July 1 to 22.

Agnesian HealthCare's Breastfeeding for Moms & Dads class provides you and your partner with information to begin breastfeeding with confidence and a true sense of security. Topics include the advantages of breastfeeding, techniques, problem prevention, returning to work and the use of breast pumps for the nursing mother. 


Preregistration for this free class is required.

Affected Family Members Group

Domestic violence affects everyone involved, including the family and friends of the person being abused. The Affected Family Members Group provides family and friends a place of support, healing and learning to help support loved ones while they are in the abusive relationship and after thay have left the abusive relationship.


This open support group meets the first and third Thursday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. 


For more information about this free support group, call (920) 923-4303. Contact with the Domestic Violence Program must be made prior to participating in this group.


Family members and friends must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this support group.

Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

A caregiver is anyone who provides help to another person in need, whether that's an ill spouse or partner, a disabled child or an aging relative. If you're among them, you know that taking care of someone who needs your assistance can be very rewarding. But it can also exact a high toll.


Facilitated by Chaplain Pam Werth, diaconal minister, and Kathi Luker, Fountain View Care Center, Ripon, Alzheimer's disease caregivers are invited to gather with other caregivers to share concerns, discuss what does or does not work, share local resources and more.

Domestic Violence Support Group - Shine

Shine is a support group for women who have been abused physically, sexually, verbally and emotionally, or who are currently involved in a domestic violence relationship.


Shine is an open support group and meets Thursday evenings from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Agnesian HealthCare's Behavioral Health Services Meeting Room, Diagnostic & Treatment Center fifth floor, 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac.

Agnesian HealthCare invites new parents to attend a free support group, "Mom & Baby Club." This group is designed for parents and their newborn (from birth to five months), to share questions and concerns about issues that arise during the unpredictable weeks and months following birth, including: infant care, expectations, exercise and diet, intimacy and more!
