Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Michelle Pesek-McCoy, MD, to its Emergency Department at St. Agnes Hospital, 430 E. Division Street.
As an Emergency Department physician, Dr. Pesek-McCoy has special training to diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, which require immediate medical intervention. Although emergency medicine doctors are not responsible for the long-term care of the patient, their work in conducting the initial diagnosis is paramount for the prognosis of the patient’s condition.
“It’s important to determine the best treatment plan for each patient and help them embrace the plan for best results,” says Dr. Pesek-McCoy. “We look for the right solution; sometimes that may not include medications. A focus on wellness and integrative care can go a long way in helping to manage special health concerns.”
Dr. Pesek-McCoy completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and her emergency medicine residency from Christiana Care Health Systems in Delaware. She is board certified in emergency medicine.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and two children, as well as tai chi, arts and crafts, baking and knitting.
“I’m excited to join Agnesian HealthCare and provide good emergency care and offer the finest resources available,” Dr. Pesek-McCoy says. “We are fortunate in Fond du Lac to provide a full complement of care to our patients.”
