Proceeds from this year’s Love Lights, presented by the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation, will help support the Samaritan Health Clinic.
The Samaritan Health Clinic at Agnesian HealthCare provides health care to individuals who lack financial resources to receive vital medical services. The clinic providers nearly 580 health care service vouchers annual for provider follow-up visits, vision or dental care, and medication assistance.
Patients reside in Fond du Lac or Dodge counties and are between 19 and 64 years old.
“The care that the Samaritan Health Clinic offers its patients is stellar,” according to Shawn Fisher, Agnesian HealthCare Foundation executive director. “We are grateful for the compassionate care that our patients receive each and every day. And, the money we raise through this year’s Love Lights is so important as the need for these services continues to grow.”
Services offered include: non-emergency medical care through the Agnesian Care Clinic; limited emergency dental care (Fond du Lac only); laboratory tests, podiatry (foot & ankle), radiology services, medication assistance (only with referral from one of our primary care providers); health information and education; and community resource information.
With the COVID-19 pandemic leading to the cancellation of this year’s annual Agnesian HealthCare Foundation Cash Raffle, community support for the Samaritan Health Clinic is even more critical this year.
“It was a very difficult decision for the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation to pass on this year’s cash raffle,” Fisher says. “While we know it was the right choice given our current climate, we also know that the Samaritan Health Clinic needs continue, and perhaps will even more so as other individuals find themselves without work or with limited work hours.”
Individuals can support Love Lights by purchasing a light in honor of someone they wish to remember or celebrate during the holiday season. This light will shine on the beautifully lit evergreen in front of Agnesian HealthCare.
The names of those honored and remembered will be displayed through the holiday season by visiting agnesian.com/giving.
Love Lights can be purchased for $10 each by visiting agnesian.com/lovelights or calling the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation at (920) 926-4971.
In addition, the Foundation also offers Angel Lights ($150 and above) for interested individuals. All donations of $150 and above will have a special designation on the online tribute page.
The public is invited to a virtual Love Light Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 7. Visit the Agnesian HealthCare Facebook page.
“The Samaritan Health Clinic is core to our mission at Agnesian HealthCare,” says Fisher, “and Love Lights is one way that we, as a community, can help support that mission.”
