Agnesian HealthCare is welcoming Kabir Ahmed, MD, a board-certified internal medicine physician, to its Center for Sleep Disorders at St. Agnes Hospital, 430 E. Division Street. He is now accepting patients.
As a sleep medicine physician, Dr. Ahmed specializes in obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, pediatric sleep, parasomnias, restless legs syndrome and other sleep disorders.
“I look forward to bringing my perspective to this field and assist with local needs,” Dr. Ahmed says. “Sleep medicine is a relatively new and innovative field of medicine, and looks at the preventive aspects of daily functioning and overall health. By listening to my patients, I am able to diagnose a patient’s health concern and then guide them in the best treatment options.”
A graduate of the Saba University School of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed completed his internal medicine residency at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.
Dr. Ahmed enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, as well as playing racquetball and reading.
