Agnesian HealthCare welcomes Ed Jedlicka, PhD, LPC, a licensed professional counselor, who will see patients at Agnesian HealthCare’s Doll & Associates, 40 Camelot Drive, Fond du Lac; Ripon Medical Center, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon; and the Treffert Center, 371 E. 1st Street, Fond du Lac.
Jedlicka provides treatment for adults, adolescents and children. He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADD and ADHD, and trauma and PTSD.
He utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote mood enhancement, stress and anxiety reduction, optimism, increased energy and motivation, and healthy and meaningful relationships. These include:
- Brain spotting
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Stress management
- Assertiveness training
- Mindfulness, relaxation and guided imagery
- Traditional psychotherapies
Jedlicka specializes in the use of biofeedback and EEG biofeedback, commonly known as neurofeedback, as a focal point of his practice. He uses neurofeedback therapy to effectively treat ADD/ADHD, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, learning disorders, Asperger’s, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and depression.
In addition, he enjoys working with children and adolescents to assist them in overcoming issues involving attention, concentration and impulse control, and provides counseling to parents of children and adolescents facing these challenges. Neurofeedback can be used alone, or may be paired with other traditional forms of therapy.
“I believe in approaching treatment from a biological, psychological and social standpoint to optimize effectiveness,” Jedlicka says.
Jedlicka received his PhD in Psychology from Capella University.
