Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers award scholarships

Seven area students who intend to pursue careers in health care have been awarded scholarships from the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteers.

Scholarship recipients were chosen from among area high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in health care.

The following seniors are recipients of $2,000 scholarships.

  • Gabrielle McDowell, a senior at Horace Mann High School, plans to pursue a nursing degree at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her parents are Mike and Sarah McDowell.
  • Ethan Hill, a senior at Fond du Lac High School, plans to pursue a degree as a general physician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His parents are Steven and Stephanie Hill.
  • Riley Romalia, a senior at Horace Mann High School, plans to pursue a career as a physician assistant at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her parents are Ryan Romalia and Erin Mace.
  • Mackenzie Sherwood, a senior at Markesan High School, plans to pursue a nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her guardian is Loretta Lane.
  • Alexa Foth, a senior at Laconia High School, plans to pursue a career in occupational therapy at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her parents are Tom and Shannon Foth.
  • Jonah Duwell, a senior at Fond du Lac High School, plans to pursue a medical career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His parents are Mike Duwell and Michele Mengert.
  • Zachary Hahn, a senior at St. Mary’s Springs Academy High School, plans to pursue a career in ophthalmology at either the University of Wisconsin-Madison or Notre Dame. His parents are Greg and Cindy Hahn.
